Men’s Ministry

Part of our aim as a church is to build community and help men to grow in their faith.

Many men are overstretched by work, and seeking to juggle family, friendships and a host of other priorities.

In recognition of this, men at St Mark’s spend time together in a variety of ways…

  • Meeting on Wednesdays at 7.45pm (weekly) in church, where the aim is to enjoy each other’s company whilst sharing, listening, discussing, studying, strolling, eating, etc. The start date of any new ‘series’ is advertised in the church newsletter. Join for a few weeks and try it out. Usually 8 to 12 men come along.
  • Beer & Bite. Two or three times a year a much wider group of St Mark’s men enjoy a drink and a meal together in Harrogate. Purely a social and a great opportunity to invite friends. 20 to 30 men come.
  • Annual weekend away with a guest speaker. Usually in the autumn and always a lot of fun. 20 to 30 come.
