Christmas Giving Appeal
Following the success of last year and the impact made, St Mark’s has decided once again to support the Clothes Bank in its desire to support clients over the Christmas period. We are therefore asking members of our church to offer luxury items of food which can be made into hampers to make Christmas that little bit special.
Item contributed should NOT be alcoholic ( including mince pies / cakes etc ) and NO jars please.
Items that would be welcomed include:
Family size Crisps/ Pringles
Christmas biscuits
Christmas chocolates
Christmas cakes ( non alcoholic )
Christmas mince pies ( non alcoholic)
Christmas packets of sweets
Christmas selection boxes
Christmas tubes of sweets
Bottles of Shloer or equivalent sparkling soft drinks
As can be seen in the items above, it would be preferred if they had a Christmas image on the front of them reflecting the season of the year
In 2024 we managed to donate 147 items which enabled Clothes Bank to make up 32 hampers of goodies – it would be wonderful if we could double that number this year due to the increasing number of people using this service.
Thank you in anticipation of your generosity
The collection taken during Christmas Services will go to the work of Yorkshire Camps.

Ever wondered…
How can you believe in a God you can’t see?
Isn’t Christianity just a bunch of rules and judgment?
Can I really be accepted by God – even with my doubts or past?
You’re not the only one asking questions.
Alpha is a relaxed, no-pressure space to explore these questions and more. Each session includes food, a short film, and honest conversation. No judgment. Just real talk. Everyone’s welcome. Try Alpha.
