MyChurchSuite – St Mark’s Family App

MyChurchSuite is the go to place for all of your St Mark’s related queries. If you want to check the time of a service, book a ticket to attend an event, check when you are next serving on a rota, register your children to attend groups, sign up to receive our newsletter, or, get in touch with a church family member, MyChurchSuite puts all of these things in one place, right at your fingertips.

Click on the questions below to find out more.

MyChurchSuite is where we:

  • Keep our database of church family member’s contact details
  • Organise our rotas and services so that on a Sunday morning everyone is on the same page about who is meant to be doing what, when and where
  • Keep a track of our children’s groups and small groups
  • Manage our diary, events and room bookings infact, if you have booked to attend any of our services or events

The staff team have been using MyChurchSuite for years.

We have been so impressed with MyChurchSuite’s breadth, flexibility, and security that we want to roll out it for the whole church family to use.

On Friday 19 February we will be inviting established church family members to access MyChurchSuite, so keep your eyes peeled for your invitation and lookout for more information between now and then.

My ChurchSuite can be accessed through any web browser and using the free iOS and Android ChurchSuite apps (available from the respective app stores).

We find it helpful to access via the app that way, you have easy access on your phone anywhere, anytime.

Download the app for Apple phones at:  https://apps.apple.com/us/app/churchsuite/id1241362773

Download the app for Android phones at:  https://apps.apple.com/us/app/churchsuite/id1241362773

App navigation follows traditional app navigation principles – clicking backwards, swipe, single-click menus etc. My ChurchSuite is also fully responsive, which means that pages resize automatically to suit the screen size of smaller devices like laptops, smart phones and tablets.

The interface on MyChurchSuite is very intuitive and straightforward to use.  Based around a menu system that can take you to: the calendar, small group information, rotas for different areas of the church, recent communication and more.

We will be releasing more information on login and access in the forthcoming weeks.

Existing communication routes will continue.

We are inviting established members of the St Mark’s church family to access the app; that includes:

– those who are members of one of our small groups,

– those who serve on one of our teams,

– those who are regular financial givers,

– those who are on our electoral roll,

– those who have regularly attended Sunday worship over a number of years

Newcomers to St Mark’s will be invited to access our MyChurchSuite only once they have established themselves as part of our church family, and certainly not before we have known them for at least a year.

MyChurchSuite includes a directory of church family members, and it is possible for your name, your telephone number, your email address and your postal address to appear in that directory.

But, one of the really great things about MyChurchSuite is that you are in control of which of those pieces of information other church family members are able to see about you, and it is even possible for you to remove yourself from the directory altogether, (so that not even your name shows up). To start with, we have reset everyone’s privacy settings so that only your name appears in the directory, if you wish to share any of your other contact details with the church family then you can change your privacy settings yourself.

Absolutely none. We take the safety of your children very seriously, and as such, children do not appear in our MyChurchSuite directory at all. Once your children reach 18 we will transfer them into the adult section of our database and invite them to access MyChurchSuite for themselves where they will then be able to control their own privacy settings. We usually do this on annual basis around the end of the academic year.

That’s absolutely fine! We believe that accessing MyChurchSuite will strengthen your connection to our church family, but if you don’t want to access it we won’t make you! Your privacy settings have been pre-set so that only your name will appear in the directory, and if you want to change that you can contact the church office. If at any point in the future you change your mind just contact the church office and we’ll send you out an new invitation.

On Friday 19 February we will send you an email with a link to access MyChurchSuite. When you follow the link you will be asked to create a password. Once you have created your password you will be able to access our MyChurchSuite from an app on your smartphone or tablet or from a web browser. Along with the link to access MyChurchSuite we will also send you another video with a little guide to using MyChurchSuite and navigating your way around.

If you still have concerns get in touch with us by emailing office@smch.org.uk.

Typing St Marks into the search bar should find our church. However, in some cases, you may need to type in stmarks (all lowercase and without a space) to locate our church.

My ChurchSuite can be accessed individually by people who share the same email address. While your login email address will be the same your passwords must be unique. You should each receive a MyChurchSuite invitation email – the invitation emails are personalised. Each person can respond to their own email in turn, clicking your personal email link that allows you each to set up your own unique password.

Now, when logging in, My ChurchSuite is able to determine which person is logging in based on your shared email address and unique password; ensuring the correct contact profile and My ChurchSuite content is presented. Passwords cannot be shared by people with the same email address as the system will be unable to distinguish who is logging in!
