Bereavement Support

Home / Bereavement Support

One of the reasons Jesus came was to bind up the brokenhearted and to comfort all who mourn (Is. 61:1-2).

As we seek to be more like Jesus, we aim to reflect His heart, to bring effective, local support for people who have been bereaved, so that those within or outside of their congregations, who have been bereaved, whether recently or in the past, can find new comfort, purpose and meaning in their loss. It is our prayer that each person in their time of grief will experience the goodness of God.

Bereavement Support

If you, or someone you know, has experienced a bereavement we have a team available to support you in your loss. We can offer an opportunity to talk through what has happened and how you are feeling as well as to pray with you.

The Bereavement Journey

The Bereavement Journey is a 7 session programme which assists bereaved people to process their loss. Guests do their own grief work. Each Session comprises two films followed by discussion in a small group, facilitated by volunteers, and with a break for refreshment. Our next course runs on 13th September 12.30pm at St Mark’s Church. Booking is required via the link below.

If you would like to add your name to a list for the next course please email Catherine on the link at the bottom of the page.

Rainbow through the Rain

Meeting on the fourth Friday of the month, each session will start with a short reflection followed by tea and cake and time to talk with some of the team and others who have also been bereaved. No booking is required.
