Children’s Ministry – Tide

In “normal” times, our children’s groups (“The Tide”) have welcomed around 115 children each Sunday morning. Under current circumstances, we are not able to return to that yet, but our children’s ministry team have been learning from Courageous Christians (last term’s online children’s resource) from our online Holiday Club in July and from feedback from children and parents. We are very excited to announce the Tide programme from September to December, with a focus on Luke’s Gospel.

Tide online: fortnightly online sessions for all primary aged children from September 13th. Live on St Mark’s Youtube channel from 4pm and available to watch later. Familiar faces from the Achildren’s ministry team will present Bible stories, prayer and craft activities and it will be lots of fun.

Waves in Church: Year 4,5 and 6 children are invited to register for face to face sessions in church fortnightly from September 20th on Sunday afternoons. The focus will be on fun, games and community, based around stories from Luke. Spaces in 3 bubbles are limited due to distancing. More details and registration are available by contacting waves@smch.org.uk

Community Groups:  Many of our smaller weekly groups cater for the whole family and make provision for children. For many families, this is the main focus of their membership of St Mark’s and active involvement is just as much “attendance” as services in the Church building. If you would like to find out more or join a community group, please contact Dan or Kim.

Facebook: you will find resources, videos, songs and links with a range of fun things for families and children. For families with primary aged children search for St Mark’s Harrogate Families and request to join. For those with younger children, it’s St Mark’s Toddlers Group.
